Warehouse Pallet Inspector 1st Shift

Overview
Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full Time Pallet Inspector at our warehouse manufacturing facility in Windsor Locks, CT.
Warehouse, Manufacturing and Repair positions pay weekly. Schedule: First Shift, Sunday–Thursday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
Valid forklift operator's license certified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; able to work in a diverse environment.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance.
Performs work independently with minimal supervision; demonstrates initiative and accuracy under pressure.
Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to stand for long periods; comply with health and safety methods.
Flexible schedule availability across various shifts.
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
