Description
You will be the Harness Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) which is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge aircraft harness and interconnect solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Harness Design Engineer you will be responsible for applying deep technical expertise to solve complex wiring and power‑distribution challenges while partnering closely with systems, mechanical, structural, and integration teams.
Responsibilities
Produce electrical wiring schematic drawings and design intricate power‑distribution systems.
Translate electrical specifications into clear routing diagrams, cable layouts, and detailed installation procedures, coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
Create and maintain comprehensive wiring‑harness documentation, support prototype builds, troubleshoot integration issues, and manage change requests.
Develop supplier statements of work and oversee system check‑outs to ensure supplier deliverables meet requirements.
Work directly with manufacturing during build‑up to diagnose and resolve system problems.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience creating electrical schematics or wiring diagrams
Experience with Capital Logic, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent Electronic Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
Ability to obtain and maintain Active Top Secret Clearance per business requirements
Desired Skills
Electrical Harness Design and Installation Experience HIGHLY DESIRED
Hands‑on experience with aircraft modifications
Experience working on a small team covering all aspects of system design from concept through testing
Knowledge of industry electrical wire harness assembly fabrication and installation methods and processes
Experience with aircraft harness, wiring or cable design/schematics
Experience with Teamcenter, ENOVIA or equivalent PLM software
Active Top Secret Clearance
5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
Security Clearance Statement
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret
Work Location and Schedule
Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
