Electrical System Design Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL (North Alabama area)
Primary Responsibilities
System level electrical architecture and design
Creation of block diagrams, electrical system requirements, cable specifications, and cable drawings
Component selection and derating activities
New hardware design verification testing
Support system level integration activities
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET‑accredited institution.
2+ years of experience in hardware system design and test from architecture through implementation, or an MS degree.
Experience with technical problem solving and root cause analysis.
Ability to collaborate in a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment.
Effective communication skills within a team setting.
Proficiency in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and system block diagrams.
Experience with cable design.
Understanding of fundamental circuits and components.
Hands‑on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods.
Self‑starter capable of working independently.
Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading small to mid‑sized technical teams.
Familiarity with IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 class 3 and IPC J‑STD‑001 Standards.
Electrical design for military hardware or aerospace systems.
Experience supporting cable production.
Experience with high power applications.
Pay Range: $69,550.00 – $125,725.00
