Shipping & Receiving Clerk I
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Materials Manager, receives incoming products and materials and processes outgoing shipments of products and materials as needed. Refers questions and problems to pertinent departments for action. Follows detailed instructions and reports any deviation to manager. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.

Principle Responsibilities

Follows existing policies, practices, and procedures.

Packages, crates, bundles, prepares product for shipment.

Receives goods based on proper paperwork.

Utilizes judgment in rejecting receipt of potentially damaged good.

Takes ownership when counting inventory for finished goods and sub‑assemblies; utilizes ERP as system of record.

Administers issue/issue return of kits.

Runs daily backlog report from ERP system.

Coordinates and manages delivery driver and delivery schedule.

Coordinates point of use staging.

Procures all items as required.

Maintains a clean work area – daily shift cleaning.

May be required to be flexible with work schedule.

Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification Requirements

High School diploma or general education degree.

2+ years of shipping or receiving experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Identifies and reports quality concerns.

Willingly asks questions and seeks direction.

Effectively gives and receives feedback.

Knows and follows all safety requirements.

Good verbal communication skills with internal staff.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.

Excellent data entry skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.
