Description
Post journal entries, allocations, and accruals.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper classification of transactions.
Analyze general ledger activity and prepare balance sheet reconciliations (prepaid expenses, fixed assets, AR, accrued expenses).
Process inter-company invoices and reconciliations.
Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate depreciation.
Reconcile monthly credit card accounts.
Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns.
Analyze expense accounts and support monthly close.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and shorten the close cycle.
Assist with external audits and ad-hoc projects.
Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or multi-entity environments
Solid GAAP knowledge and strong general ledger accounting skills
Familiarity with multi-state sales tax filings
Proficiency in Excel
Detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to take ownership
