Summary / Objective
The Manufacturing Controller/Scheduler works closely with cross-functional teams to understand, identify, develop, and document key milestone schedules for critical path construction projects. Documentation generated such as, but not limited to schedule development, reports and assessments for use by/for our design, trade crafts, procurement, and project leads to implement activities associated with all aspects of construction.

Essential Functions

Creates, documents, monitors, and analyzes schedules for manufacturing

Develops and manages schedules for daily, weekly, and monthly productions based on sales forecasts and production capacity.

Coordinates and works closely with various departments, including operations and purchasing, to ensure schedules are aligned with production needs.

Monitors production progress by tracking the progress of production activities and adjusts schedules as necessary to meet deadlines and assists resolving any issues that arise.

Compiles reports on production progress, inventory levels, and any production problems to inform stakeholders.

Produces reports for manpower tracking and look-a-heads for current and future planning

Works with multiple projects in accordance with standard and best project practice.

Schedules and facilitates collaborative meetings to ensure that all activities are properly integrated into the base schedule using critical path methodology.

Identifies bottlenecks, reallocating resources, and resolving production-related issues to maintain efficiency.

Works to drive governance and efficiency of process used to capture and maintain the key milestone events while offering analytical assessments and recommendations on potential risks to the schedule.

Ensures consistent visibility by monitoring and updating Project Performance Indicators on milestone objectives

Manages electronic workstations for information gathering in the shops

Works with the shops to implement procedures and electronic workflows for gathering information on production and tracking

Works with data/programming specialist to incorporate data into master ACI data management program

Supervisory Responsibility

Required

High School Diploma or GED

5+ years of experience or combination of any relevant fields of study related to construction or project management

Knowledge of procedures, practices, and operations associated with construction

Experience in scheduling analysis and/or project management

Well-practiced in setting up schedules in MS Project and/or P6

Experienced with designing and setting up ERP systems

Attention to detail and organization

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI

Extensive knowledge and experience in Excel formulas and macro writing

Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)

Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for long periods of time

Must adhere to all company policy and procedures

Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned, to include working varying schedules

Work Environment

Works in a professional office and shop environment and routinely uses standard office equipment

Position will require occasional visits to construction sites

May be exposed to varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness when visiting projects

May be exposed to moderate/high noise levels when in work areas when visiting projects

May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust in work area

Physical Demands

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets, etc.

While performing duties of the job the employee may, climb, bend, pull, reach-overhead, stand/walk at times and lifts up to 50 lbs.

Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms

Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color‑coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus

Travel

May require infrequent local travel (typically not overnight)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
