About the position

We are now looking to appoint a summer worker in the Communications and Engagement division.

The Communications and Engagement (C&E) division is responsible for managing all of ESS’ external and internal communications and engagement activities, supporting the organisation in its mission to become a world-leading neutron science facility. We work with the ESS community and external partners to establish ESS as a trusted scientific and social partner, locally, regionally and internationally.

As a summer worker in the C&E division, your main responsibilities will be to support the team across several internal and external-facing projects, including:

Event planning, logistics and reporting, including media visits

Identifying and reviewing outdated intranet content

Supporting the preparation of website content and assets

Organising content in ESS’ new digital asset bank (e.g. assign keyword tags)

Production of exhibit and branded materials

About you

Ongoing or completed education in communication studies, marketing, science communication or related fields

Experience of organising or being involved in organising events

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Proficiency in Swedish is an advantage.

Strong interest in (one or more) science, technology, science communication, design, communications.

Minimum age 18 years.

Duration and location
This is an 8-12 week summer work position. Planned start date is June 2026, or per agreement. Your workplace is on-site at ESS in Lund, Sweden.
