The Role at a Glance
As a vital member of the Plant Operations management team, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the people, processes, and systems that ensure accurate delivery, receipt, and storage of warehouse items. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures standards of quality, health, safety, and freshness of all products are maintained. This is a hands‑on supervisory position that requires the supervisor to perform day‑to‑day tasks of the warehouse staff.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities (receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping)
Organize the warehouses and teams, ensuring members are briefed, supervised, and trained
Provide performance feedback and disciplinary actions when required
Maintain accurate real‑time inventory of finished goods and components
Maintain computerized warehouse and inventory control systems and keep equipment in working order
Investigate and report discrepancies, damages, and returns
Perform other duties and cross‑train as assigned
Manage creation of an effective nest‑run pallet list integrating inventory management with quality and production requirements
Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock control
Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
Enforce health and safety policies and procedures
Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams
Prepare performance reports and track KPIs
Resolve operational issues and improve workflow efficiency
Ensure proper handling and maintenance of warehouse equipment
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts
Report quality assurance or food safety issues immediately to the Quality Assurance Manager or departmental supervisor/manager
What You’ll Bring to the Flock
Egg processing experience preferred
2‑year associate’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience
3‑5 years of warehouse experience, with supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse software
Understanding of safety regulations and best practices
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate people
Work Schedule & Hours
Day shift position: Monday through Friday
Shifts up to 8‑12 hours per day, based on operational needs
Typical start time: 6:00 AM
Start and end times may vary due to truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes
Flexibility required to adjust schedule as needed
