Business Development Manager - Controversy (Dallas or Houston)

Munsch Hardt is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support its Controversy practice groups. This role leads both strategic and day-to-day marketing and business development initiatives that enhance the Firm’s market presence, strengthen client relationships, and support continued practice growth.

Working closely with attorneys, practice group leaders, and firm marketing leadership, the Manager will play a key role in shaping and executing coordinated business development strategies across offices and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead marketing and business development initiatives for the Firm’s Controversy practices

Partner with attorneys on strategic planning, client development, and market positioning

Manage proposals, presentations, and RFP responses

Conduct market, client, and competitive intelligence research

Support public relations efforts, thought leadership, and media opportunities

Oversee awards and survey submissions to enhance visibility and recognition

Coordinate multi-office and firm-wide initiatives in collaboration with leadership

Ensure consistency, quality, and alignment of marketing materials with Firm standards

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

6+ years of marketing or business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment

Demonstrated success supporting attorneys and practice group initiatives

Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and project management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM platforms, and social media strategy
