
Legal Intern

Position Summary
The Legal Intern will report to the General Counsel and support the legal needs of the organization across Business Development, Engineering, Procurement & Construction, Operations, Asset Management, and Finance. Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, supporting finance closings, attending meetings, and assisting with the administration of the corporate legal department. The internship spans from mid to late May to the end of July.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and review contracts, correspondence, and other documentation to support day‑to‑day matters, transactions, finance and tax equity closings, and disputes.
Review contracts to confirm compliance obligations and interpretations, and assist with contract compliance efforts.
Prepare FERC filings for Qualifying Facilities and support corporate entity management.
Conduct research to support legal positions.
Qualifications
Seeking a highly motivated individual suited to a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Required knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree; completion of 2nd year of law school strongly preferable.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated interest in energy or environmental law.
Collaboration skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Location
Atlanta, GA. The office is in Buckhead Plaza, 3050 Peachtree Rd., NW., Suite 350. The team works in the office Monday–Thursday and remotely Friday. Occasional travel may be required.
Compensation
Hourly rate of $30 per hour; up to 40 hours per week.
