
Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Idaho Employment Lawyers is looking for a skilled legal assistant/paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to assist in all phases of the litigation process. Additionally, this role will provide comprehensive support to IEL attorneys by combining counseling and administrative assistance. This role ensures legal precision, organizational efficiency, and exceptional client service, reinforcing IEL's values: leadership, accountability, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit. Responsibilities
Draft and prepare pleadings for filing
Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
Organize exhibits, documents, briefs and appendices
Handle onboarding of new clients, including screening calls, conducting conflicts, and working through engagement letter and billing details
Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
Communicate with clients and expert witnesses related to timelines, pleadings, and discovery
Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
Organize and Bates-stamp documents for production in response to discovery requests
Review, proof, and edit written work with a high attention to detail
Redact information from documents
Assist in deposition and trial preparation by preparing binders, indexing discovery, and preparing exhibits
Prepare witness preparation binders
Maintain case calendar and schedule of upcoming deadlines
Skills
Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal, or paralegal-specific training preferred
Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, etc.
Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong writing and communication skills
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients
Adaptable and willing to learn, with the ability to take on new tasks and adjust to changing priorities
Extensive computer skills, including experience with file management software, ECF/iCourt, Pacer, Adobe, and Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive)
Job Type: Full-time/ Non-Exempt (overtime eligible)
