Job Description
This position emphasizes commercial transactions while also supporting residential title work for properties. The Title Examiner will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing abstracts to prepare title commitments.

Responsibilities

Examine abstracts of title, public records, and legal documents to determine the status of title for commercial properties.

Prepare accurate and comprehensive title commitments in accordance with company and underwriter guidelines.

Identify and resolve title issues, including liens, encumbrances, and ownership discrepancies.

Review attorney title opinions and Form 900s to issue Iowa Title Guaranty commitments and final certificates.

Ensure compliance with Iowa Title Guaranty program requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of program changes.

Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, underwriters, and internal teams to clarify and resolve title matters.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all title files and issued commitments.

Assist with curative work and coordinate with abstractors and legal professionals as needed.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47,840.00 - $52,000.00/yr.
