Family Law, Criminal Defense, Civil Law Practice in Stuart Florida seeking an experienced paralegal, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Law Patriot is a fun, fast-paced, hard working team that enjoys serving the greatest clients on the Treasure Coast. The candidate must enjoy working with a team, meeting with clients to assist with discovery, answering phones, calendaring events, coordinating hearings, and have a working knowledge of the court system, and e-filing. Must be willing to assist other team members if asked or needed. Two (2) years experience in Family Law, Criminal Defense or Civil Law is highly preferred. Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.

Handle High Volume Case Load From Inception to Disposition
Draft All Relevant Family Law Documents, Pleadings, Motions, and Notices
Familiar With Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
Propound Discovery and Complete Discovery Responses
Schedule Hearings, Depositions, Service of Process
Provide Trial Preparation
Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorneys
Conducting research, investigating facts, and developing legal arguments
Drafting legal documents such as contracts, depositions, and pleadings
Preparing and filing documents with courts
Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes
Assists lawyers in preparing and organizing various legal documents for upcoming cases and trials. Their main duties include preparing affidavits and correspondence, discussing case details with attorneys and clients and organizing different files for different legal proceedings.
