School Social Worker
for an
Extended School Year (ESY) , school-based assignment in
Lake County, IL .
This role is well-suited for a professional who enjoys short-term, focused support, values collaboration, and is passionate about supporting students’ social-emotional needs in a school setting.
Location:
Lake County, IL (in-person only)
Dates:
June 15 – July 26
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. (No Fridays)
Responsibilities
Provide school-based social work services aligned with students’ IEPs and social-emotional goals.
Support students’ behavioral, emotional, and social development in an ESY setting.
Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.
Deliver individual and group support as appropriate based on student needs.
Participate in team meetings, documentation, and required ESY program activities.
Qualifications
Active
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
with
School Social Worker (SSW)
endorsement.
Prior school-based or youth-focused social work experience preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to work onsite and support a short-term ESY assignment.
