Responsibilities
Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
Demonstrate teamwork and raise the bar for patient care.
Shift Details
This is a full‑time night shift (11:45 PM–7:45 AM), 3 weekends per schedule, located at New York‑Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist.
Preferred Criteria
Minimum one‑year experience as Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant in Telemetry.
Required Criteria
High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program.
Certificate in Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, move, and position patients of all weights with varying amounts of assistance in a fair manner on a regular and recurring basis, including dexterity of fingers, hands, arms, and feet, and sensory requirements of speech, touch, vision, and hearing within normal range with corrections.
Salary Range
$29.68–$32.43 per hour
