This position is for full-time seasonal production employment to begin in
May 1, 2026 and continue through November 30, 2026
Seasonal Production employees have the opportunity for full-time employment opportunities based on business need and individual performance.
Seasonal Production employees must be willing to work ANY shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
This position does not have benefits
Shift hours:
8-hour shifts
1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm
2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm
3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am
2nd or 3rd shift will be primary shift unless business needs require temporary shift moves
Schedule Monday through Friday with possibility of some weekends
Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Pay:
$19.43 per hour
Shift differential $.55 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift and 3rd shift

The Kansas City plant provides job growth opportunities in most departments and promotes positive relationships throughout the facility, fostering a collaborative work environment and it has an employee club within the premises. The plant organizes holiday dinners for Christmas and Thanksgiving, where hams and turkeys are distributed to employees. Responsible for learning and operating all packaging lines
Performing preventive and reactive maintenance activities within capabilities on packaging department equipment and assist maintenance as needed with higher level tasks, including work order creation
Performing all necessary quality checks of the products produced in the packaging department including HACCP checks, seal tests, weight tests, code dating, metal detector, check-weigher, in-line magnets and code dater checks
Maintaining written documentation
Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
Assist in training new employees
What you have to offer:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
At least 2 years of work experience preferred
Physical requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
