Optical Fiber Technician

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working on aerial fiber (poles), performing system overhauls, and ensuring high-quality network performance.
Key Responsibilities
Install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables and equipment
Perform aerial work on utility poles, including climbing and bucket truck operations
Conduct system overhauls, upgrades, and repairs of fiber networks
Troubleshoot and resolve fiber-related issues in the field
Ensure all work meets safety standards and company guidelines
Read and interpret network diagrams, blueprints, and splice maps
Maintain tools, equipment, and accurate job documentation
Requirements
Experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing
Ability to work on poles and at heights
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred
Knowledge of fiber optic tools and equipment (OTDR, fusion splicer, etc.)
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
