
Information Security Administrator

Overview
Under direct supervision of the Director of Information Security, the Information Security Administrator maintains elements of the company’s security program including networks, endpoints, applications, and data. Responsibilities include IT Security and IT Administration functions, monitoring and responding to information security events, auditing systems, and implementing new security tools and controls. The role also includes IT functions related to network management, software support, email support, and identity management.
Essential Functions
Monitor and respond to security events
Complete projects related to cyber protection and enterprise systems
Research, document, and present unresolved or suspected security exposures, misuse, or noncompliance situations to management
Investigate and perform root cause analysis of issues including but not limited to: malware infections, data leakage, internal/external network abuse, email viruses, phishing attempts, IPS/IDS alerts
Perform audits on patch management, privileged access, endpoint detection and response, network devices, wired/wireless access, and user access
Establish and monitor protection levels against end user threats as it relates to servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
Maintain and support internal/external vulnerability management program
Manage and support Information Security Awareness training program. Coordinate security training and phish testing for end users
Assist with projects or other duties as assigned
Support all network, internet, and firewall systems
Support end users with software and email issues
Support On-premise and Azure Active Directory environment
Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards
Education and Training
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Security, Computer Science, or Information Systems
ISC², GIAC, ISACA, SANS, CompTIA, Offensive Security, or CISSP security certification is preferred
Minimum Qualifications
1-3+ years of experience in Information Security in the following areas: security operations, incident analysis, incident handling, and vulnerability management or testing, system patching, log analysis, intrusion detection. Security device administration is a plus
Information Security knowledge and/or experience, including familiarity with security architecture, security policies and procedures, and best practices
Knowledge of application, system, and network security attacks and mitigation techniques
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, web proxies, SIEM, email, and vulnerability management concepts
Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact
Knowledge of the current IT threat landscape and emerging trends in cyber security
Physical Demands
Lift up to 50 lbs
Environmental Conditions
Up to 25% of travel required

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Rate: In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is $89,929 - $134,948 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This pay range is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
