Position Title: EFNEP Administrative/Program Assistant
Status: Full Time
Job Summary
This role supports EFNEP operations across nine Black Belt counties where the program is actively implemented. This position will provide high-level support to EFNEP staff, including the Director, County Coordinator, and Nutrition Educators. They will play a vital role in ensuring the program runs smoothly by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and facilitating effective communication among team members and community partners. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Provide comprehensive administrative support to EFNEP, including calendar management, appointment scheduling, and meeting coordination for staff.
Draft, review, and edit correspondence, data reports, and various documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain well-organized records and filing systems to ensure efficient access to critical data and information.
Coordinate all travel arrangements for the Director and staff, including preparing requisitions and reimbursements for lodging, transportation.
Attend meetings, take detailed notes, and prepare and distribute meeting minutes to relevant stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external data communications, responding to inquiries from the funding agency and directing them to appropriate personnel.
Assist in the development of presentations and reports for in-service meetings/trainings and community outreach events.
Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, deliverables, and progress toward program goals.
Learn to be very familiar with the online EFNEP WebNeers data system.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience of a minimum of four years of administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community based organization.
A valid driver’s license and access to an automobile for travel for EFNEP training in the counties.
Physical Demands
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to walk short distances
Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items
Ability to view a computer terminal

Knowledge:
Knowledge in working with diverse community stakeholders.
Knowledge in science and evidence-based food activities.
Working knowledge of various computer software, such as Microsoft Office
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
