Placement Counsel is seeking a 1st to 6th+ year associate litigation/transactional attorney
for a mid-sized law firm with offices in California (Irvine), Nevada, Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, and New York. This is a multi-jurisdictional law firm that solves complex problems, leveraging cutting edge technology for clients, whether in the courtroom or boardroom.

Job Summary
The associate attorney will join the firm's Irvine, California, office. The ideal candidate will have 1-6+ years’ experience handling business transactions and litigation, possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, and regularly exercise independent judgment.
Responsibilities
Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties.
Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.
Review case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action.
Work as part of a team with all levels of experience.
Routinely communicate with clients.
Cultivate relationships with the firm’s existing and future clients.
Comply with all the firm’s standard operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skill/Abilities
Working knowledge of transactional and litigation procedures
Excellent legal drafting, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Commitment to continuous learning.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to think and act independently, and with minimal supervision.
Committed to maintaining integrity and confidentiality on behalf of clients and the firm.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited institution by the American Bar Association with a Juris Doctor degree.
Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the California State Bar.
Must have 1-6+ years’ experience.
Starting salary $135k - $165k DOE
