Program Overview JTA is offering 2026 Summer Internship opportunities from June 1, 2026 to August 7, 2026. Internships are available in Public Affairs as well as Administration, Operations, Finance, and System Development divisions.
Public Affairs Internship Interns will work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects, gaining practical skills, mentorship, and networking opportunities within the transportation industry.
Available Specializations Government Affairs
Requirements Currently enrolled as a student in trade school, college undergraduate, or a graduate program at an accredited college or university.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Available to work at least 20 hours per week during the internship.
Able to pass a security background check and drug screening.

Legal and Safety Information The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is governed by Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
