Infant to Toddler Assistant Teacher

## Description**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**The Grace Beginnings Academy Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher is passionate about caring for young learners in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate works collaboratively with the lead teacher, and helps support each child’s growth in their physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. This role assists in implementing lessons and activities that are Christ-centered and rooted in play and exploration. The infant toddler assistant will stay with the same class as they grow from infants to toddler age. This is a year-round, full-time position 9:15a - 5:45p OR part-time position 7:15a-12:45p schedule. * Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher* Assist in the completion of documenting daily activities, and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher* Effectively communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment* Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility.* Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.* Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience* At drop off or pick up foster positive relationships with parents* Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent* Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year.* Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position* Maintains licensing compliance* Other duties as assigned## Qualifications**PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS*** Educational requirements: High School Diploma required* Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant* Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.* Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.* Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
