The General Shop Laborer supports daily production activities by safely performing hands‑on manufacturing tasks, equipment setup, and general labor duties. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet production goals in a fast‑paced environment.
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented General Shop Laborer for 2nd shift to support our plating operation.
Essential Job Functions:
Assemble and surface finish according to specifications
Read and interpret instructions, work orders, and blueprints
Inspect completed work to ensure they meet quality and workmanship standards
Operate hand tools and power equipment to remove excess metal and burs from workpieces
Clean, inspect, and maintain tools, machinery, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency
Assist with basic machine setup, attachment installation, and production support
Examine finished work to verify conformance to specifications
Follow standard operating procedures and all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE
Communicate any injuries, unsafe acts, or equipment failures to the team lead immediately
Maintain accurate records of completed work and material usage as required
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 3PM‑11:30PM
Ability to work after hours during the week and weekends, as the workload requires

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and safety procedures
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality
Must be safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team
Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in chemical processing lines, manufacturing, or a related field
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
Physical Requirements:
Standing: > 2/3 of the time
Walking: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
Sitting:
Lifting: Up to 50 pounds (occasional)
Crouching, stooping, reaching, or stretching:
Speaking and hearing: As needed for communication
Visual acuity required for close work and inspection
Working Conditions:
This position is based in a warehouse/manufacturing environment where teamwork, quality, and efficiency are critical. The role requires standing, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
