Job Title: SAP/BOBJ & Data Warehouse Support Engineer (On-Call & Upgrade Specialist)
We are seeking a skilled Support Engineer with expertise in SAP systems, BusinessObjects (BOBJ), and Data Warehouse (DW) environments. The role involves providing on‑call support, leading and assisting with BOBJ upgrades, collaborating with customers, and ensuring optimal performance of data warehouse systems through monitoring and tuning.

Key Responsibilities

Provide on‑call support for SAP and database (DBA) environments, ensuring high availability and timely incident resolution

Deliver expert support for SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ/BOE) platform, including administration, troubleshooting, and user support

Lead and support BOBJ/BOE upgrade activities, including planning, execution, testing, and post‑upgrade validation

Collaborate directly with customers through on‑demand calls, providing technical guidance and issue resolution

Monitor Data Warehouse (DW) loads, identify bottlenecks, and ensure data integrity and timely processing

Perform performance tuning of database and DW systems using OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and other monitoring tools

Analyze system performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability

Troubleshoot ETL/data pipeline issues and coordinate with cross‑functional teams for resolution

Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and upgrade procedures

Ensure adherence to SLAs, incident management processes, and change management practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience with SAP systems and DBA support

Hands‑on expertise in SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ/BOE) administration and upgrades

Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling

Experience in DW monitoring and performance tuning, preferably using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

Proven experience handling production support and on‑call rotations

Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills

Experience working directly with customers in a support or consulting environment

Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance optimization techniques

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with BOBJ upgrade/migration projects (e.g., version upgrades, platform migrations)

Familiarity with SAP BW or other DW tools

Exposure to cloud‑based data platforms is a plus

Understanding of ITIL processes for incident and change management

Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 support environment

Proactive mindset with attention to detailAbility to collaborate across global teams
