Role Summary
As a Full‑Time Comprehensive Foster Care Social Worker at Bridges Homeward, you will support children and families in the foster care system, focusing on permanency and case management. This role is designed for recent graduates or early‑career professionals.
Responsibilities
Conduct weekly home visits with children in foster homes.
Ensure child safety, monitor progress and provide support for placements.
Utilize permanency interventions to work with DCF and families toward lifelong connections with committed adults.
Develop and maintain case plans and treatment plans for a caseload of up to eight clients.
Participate in after‑hours emergency coverage on a rotating basis.
Qualifications
An MSW or related graduate degree is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree with experience in child welfare is acceptable.
Professional social work licensure required within six months of hire.
Valid driver’s license and a properly insured vehicle for home visits.
Strong problem‑solving skills, empathy, and commitment to innovation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Benefits
Competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $51,000 per year, plus a $2,000 sign‑on bonus paid after 60 days of employment (eligible if the employee stays at least one year). The position offers work‑from‑home flexibility and a 33.5‑hour (4 ½‑day) work week. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, flexible spending account, and paid time off.
