
Beaman Library Student Worker

Assists with service desk responsibilities, customer service duties, and collection updates & maintenance.
Student assistants staff the circulation and reference service desks.
Circulation duties include, but are not limited to: checking library items in and out, managing study room keys, assisting with patron hold and reserve requests, sorting and shelving books, facilitating digital fines and payments, and answering general customer service questions in person and over the phone.
Reference duties include, but are not limited to: answering questions about library resources and items in person and over the phone, assisting with copier and printer requests, and assisting with Interlibrary Loans.
Acquisitions duties include, but are not limited to: putting on new book covers & labels, and reshelving books.
Things to Note
This position primarily works evenings and nights (between 4:00pm and 7:00pm in the summer, or between 4:00pm and 11:00pm in the fall). Please only apply if your availability is the same.
Reliable transportation is required for those living off campus.
Some duties may be tailored to give you experience toward your education or career goals (to be discussed with supervisors).
May be Federal Work Study eligible.
