Rotational Schedule: 7/7 (transitioning to 14/14) – 12-hour shifts
Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Instrument & Electrical Technician III
with a strong
electrical background
to support operations in an oil & gas production environment. This role focuses heavily on
medium to high voltage systems , power distribution, and field troubleshooting, with exposure to
SCADA systems
for operational monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, test, and repair
electrical and instrumentation systems
supporting production facilities
Troubleshoot
power distribution systems , including
480V and 13.8kV equipment
Interpret and respond to system conditions using
SCADA monitoring tools
Ensure compliance with
safety standards, procedures, and regulations
(PTW, LOTO, OIMS)
Support maintenance planning and execution to ensure system reliability and uptime
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams
Provide technical support for
electrical and control systems troubleshooting
Participate in and support
Management of Change (MOC)
processes
Inspect new installations and recommend system improvements
Act as backup support for I&E Lead when required
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree or relevant technical certification
Proven experience in
oil & gas, production, or processing facilities
Strong hands‑on experience with
medium to high voltage systems (480V to 13.8kV)
Experience with
power distribution and facility electrical systems
Familiarity with
SCADA systems
(monitoring and troubleshooting)
Working knowledge of
PTW, LOTO, and safety procedures
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Experience
Background in upstream or midstream oil & gas operations
Experience in offshore or remote field environments
Exposure to PLCs and control systems
