Job Overview
The primary focus is to find someone interested in a long‑term career in food safety and quality. The intern will absorb knowledge, apply it practically, and be groomed as a potential permanent member of the Texas FSQA team.
Responsibilities
Understand the vertical integration of the Texas platform by seeing how Food Safety and Quality are linked throughout the process.
Develop a draft Fresh Juice HACCP plan for unpasteurized juice to be sold in bulk configurations.
Assist in collecting and building a specification document on the fresh side to link each customer to each product they buy, and share it across all geographies to align quality.
Present a draft HACCP plan with a validated hazard analysis, critical limits, and monitoring procedures.
Build and deploy a specification book/e‑document housing quality specifications for all customers and varieties, shared to all geographies to better align on Texas varieties.
At the end of the internship present an executive summary report to demonstrate knowledge gained and gather key takeaways.
Qualifications
Must currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Junior or Senior college experience with a minimum of 2.5 overall GPA and a 3.0 major GPA.
Started core concentration classes in a related field.
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, Word, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Team‑oriented and passionate about learning.
