If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.## ## Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a **Mechanical Design Engineer** located in **Columbia, SC.**Reporting to the **Mechanical Design Engineering Manager** the **Mechanical Design Engineer****What a typical day looks like:*** Apply complex design practices and procedures to assigned program areas to create custom tooling, jigs and fixtures with standard processes such as CNC milling/turning and Additive Manufacturing* Create and release detailed drawings and interface with machine shop for quote and completion* Manage sourcing and deliveries from suppliers for fabrication of tools/fixtures and equipment* Work with other members of the development team to support manufacturing tooling design initiatives* Assist in generating production and technology roadmaps that support customer expectations* Support design improvements that enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs* Provide complex technical support to manufacturing floor to enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs* Perform Tolerance Analysis and make recommendations* Project Management on multiple customer accounts.**The experience we’re looking to add to our team,*** 5+ years of 3D CAD Experience (Solidworks CSWP preferred)* Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills* Self-motivated, high energy and strong time management skills* Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills* Ability to work in teams and collaborate with others* Demonstrated leadership skills and team orientation* Drawing creation and release experience* Please submit "Hands On" Design Project Examples or portfolio* 3D Printing Experience* Manual or CNC Milling/Lathe Experience* Introductory Understanding of GD&T / Dimensional ManagementBO18**What you'll receive for the great work you provide:*** Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans* Life Insurance* Short-term and Long-term Disability* Matching 401(k) Contributions* Vacation and Paid Sick Time* Tuition Reimbursement## ## Job CategoryProduction EngineeringRelocation: Not eligible## NoFlex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
