Summary
The Prepress Production Artist ensures that graphics and artwork meet company standards and client brand guidelines and standards prior to print. The Prepress Production Artist is responsible for resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to meet project deadlines. This position is eligible to work an in‑person schedule based out of Fort Wayne, IN.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives
Review and edit output delivered by the graphic artists to ensure completeness and accuracy of data as well as high‑quality graphics/layout that comply with the standards and design guidance
Read, understand and apply customer, legal and regulatory specifications
Perform assigned tasks within the overall production workflow and assigned budget, according to work order specifications, industry and company SOPs, company standards, and the client’s brand guidelines and standards
Exhibit a solid understanding of the process required in taking a conceptual design through to final artwork and have the ability to proof artwork and layout
Ability to work in a team environment
Track projects, check scheduled ETA of work orders, and verify finishing
Maintain/document reference information, graphics standards, and production templates
Communicate information for narrowing the margin for error between design and production
Ability to alternate between production and design with ease
Facilitate all finish work required on all items from attachment methods, extra materials required for facilitating a smooth, hassle‑free installation on site
Confirm final shipping inventory, coordinate with lead installer, shipping and warehouse to ensure appropriate information, installation materials and electronic files are delivered to the show site
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Visual design skills specifically on typography and layout
Min 3‑5 years in a similar or related role
Quality assurance experience
Very strong attention to detail
Must be able to prioritize workload and work under pressure
Proficient in Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite
Positive attitude and a team player
Ability to operate within a fast‑paced environment
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
