Loyalhanna Care Center is seeking a strong and compassionate RN Shift Supervisor to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care.

Position
The RN Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department during the assigned shift, ensuring care is delivered in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. This role is critical in maintaining quality outcomes, staff accountability, and resident safety.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
Oversee daily nursing operations including staffing, assignments, and workflow
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff
Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Monitor staff performance and address concerns in collaboration with leadership
Clinical Oversight
Conduct routine assessments and ensure quality resident care
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
Communicate changes in condition to physicians and families
Review documentation for accuracy in PointClickCare
Ensure proper medication administration and treatment delivery
Quality & Compliance
Monitor resident outcomes, quality measures, and satisfaction
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and root cause analysis
Complete and review incident/accident reports
Ensure readiness for state surveys and audits
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the interdisciplinary team (IDT)
Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented environment
Support staff development, coaching, and accountability
Qualifications
Current, active, and unencumbered RN license (PA)
Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience in long-term care preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
