Manufacturing Operator 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

Operate automated assembly, printing, fill, and kit-pack manufacturing equipment in accordance with production records and operating procedures.

Execute basic transactions within complex systems (e.g., SAP) for material receipt, processing, and inventory control.

Run automated systems, set up equipment, operate, clean, monitor, and perform basic troubleshooting.

Participate in protocol validations and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert in one or more production areas.

Contribute to daily end‑of‑shift reports and pass‑downs.

Safety and Quality

Maintain Right to Operate and perform all processes safely, addressing and escalating hazards.

Execute tasks in the quality system to meet quality objectives.

Understand audit readiness expectations for OSHA, FDA, QSR, GMP, ISO, etc., and answer process questions on the spot.

Ensure accurate and complete system transactions for material traceability and inventory accuracy.

Provide feedback on NCR investigations, reworks, and corrective actions.

Maintain ≥95% internal training compliance.

Continuous Improvement

Perform 6S activities, gather cycle times, develop and follow standard work.

Identify and implement process improvements using lean tools.

Participate in tier meetings and support operational excellence initiatives.

Contribute data for daily metrics and improvement efforts.

Teamwork and Collaboration

Proactively collaborate with peers across shifts and functions to meet daily targets.

Assist in onboarding new employees and contractors.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED; or associate’s degree preferred.

Experience (minimum):

2 years in GMP environment and automated manufacturing; experience with validated software and SAP.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Lean/Continuous Improvement experience.

Proficient with Google Workspace products.

Read, write, and comprehend English.

Work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Perform accurately in a high‑volume environment.

Strong organizational, communication, critical‑thinking, and time‑management skills.

Use precision tools and technology appropriate to the industry.

Reliable attendance at all scheduled times, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Conditions & PPE Requirements

Stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, or crouch for ≥4 hours/day.

Push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements.

Maintain near visual acuity for process tasks.

Work around fixed equipment and machinery, including lifts, ladders, and protective equipment.

Pay Transparency
The expected salary range for this position in Tucson is USD 43,300.00 – 80,300.00 annually. Actual pay will be determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors. A discretionary annual bonus may be available.
