This onsite role is in Kirkland, WA or Savannah, GA.
Position
Field Systems Engineer
– Join a small team that designs world-class Audio/Video hardware and software for the Business Jet industry. You will provide frontline technical support, engage with customers to understand needs, provide solutions, and represent Innovative Advantage at tradeshows and industry events. You will work with product development, sales, and support to ensure successful implementation and optimization of our products or services.

Location:
Full-time onsite in Kirkland, WA or Savannah, GA.
Compensation:
Salary may be adjusted based on experience and geographic location outside Kirkland, WA.
Field Systems Engineer:
$110,000 to $130,000 per year
Work Eligibility:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and authorized to work in the United States.
Organization:
Employed by Innovative Advantage Inc. within Heads Up Technologies’ Innovative Advantage business unit.
What You'll Do
System Design
Develop tail-specific technical documentation (configuration, interface, and app GUI definitions).
Collaborate with internal teams to translate customer requirements into product guidance.
Set up and test proof-of-concept ideas for new products and system applications.
Create system configuration files based on customer wiring/block diagrams.
Create tradeshow and customer demo setups.
Configure cabin control app interfaces for specific aircraft installations.
Customer Engagement
Communicate with customers to understand technical requirements and business challenges.
Assist customers in designing and implementing customized solutions.
Share customer insights with internal teams to improve product design and end-user experience.
Network and build relationships with target customers and industry professionals.
Stay current with industry trends, partners, and competitors.
System Integration and Testing
Develop test cases and procedures for system-level coverage of product specifications.
Improve, expand, and streamline system testing for products.
Set up bench or SIL systems to recreate customer issues with specific configurations.
Create and revise system and qualification documentation for all products.
Test cabin control apps for specific aircraft installations.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Provide technical support via email, phone, and TeamViewer promptly.
Perform software updates and diagnostics on fielded systems.
Resolve customer issues promptly; escalate complex problems as needed.
Participate in on-call rotation for nights and weekends.
Provide onsite support for cabin system commissioning, CMS configuration, audio tuning, and aircraft checkout.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Education:
BS in a related Engineering discipline or equivalent Avionics Technician background.
Experience:
2+ years in Systems Engineering in aerospace, or 5+ years as an Avionics Technician with strong customer engagement.
Travel:
Up to 50% of time traveling to customer sites and industry events (domestic and international).
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical:
Experience with audio/video systems, aircraft electronics, and wiring diagrams.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Python, XML, databases, networking, and error log analysis.
Citizenship:
US Citizenship required.
