Job Duties and Responsibilities

Position performs compliance monitoring, expenditure transactional review and approval for sponsored awards, gifts, appropriations and financial aid. Responsible for timely submission of agency invoicing/financial reports to maximize cash flow, accurate reporting of Federal awards within the university financial statements, timely award closeout, Banner GR/fund terming and audit requests. Maintains customer-oriented interaction with external agencies, colleges/departments, and administrators. Reconciles the restricted fund to prepare a final invoice or financial report and term the fund. Reviews and completes sponsored award audit responses. Reviews and interprets general accounting policies to ensure proper monitoring of sponsored awards. Ensures that the work is performed accurately and that it is in line with the university's policies and procedures and external requirements. Monitors asset, liability and fund balance accounts. Reviews and approves expense allocations and journal entries. Performs activities for the central office related to the monthly and annual close process. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Associate's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.
