Production Operator
The Production Operator role is a hands‑on position within a manufacturing environment that requires sustained physical activity throughout the shift. Core responsibilities include performing manual material handling tasks such as lifting, shoveling, weighing, transferring, and packaging materials while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Production Operators support and monitor manufacturing processes, follow standard work practices, and maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
2nd Shift Hours:
Monday‑Friday, 3:30 pm – 1:30 am
Roles & Responsibilities
Comply with all safety requirements with the expectation of zero safety violations and actively participate in safety programs.
Perform sustained manual labor throughout the shift, including shoveling, lifting, carrying, staging, and transferring materials.
Repeatedly lift, move, and load materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
Weigh, measure, portion, and stage raw materials and finished products with high accuracy.
Perform hand, wrist, and arm movements required during packaging and cleaning tasks.
Operate, monitor, and support plant process equipment used during manufacturing.
Perform equipment disassembly, reassembly, cleaning, and changeovers.
Conduct quality control testing and accurately record production data.
Perform minor maintenance and basic troubleshooting as required.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and proper tool storage.
Support maintenance, production, and technical teams as required.
Operate electrical hand pallet truck to transport raw materials and finished product to designated areas.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Stand and perform continuous physical tasks for 10–12 hour shifts.
Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Repeated lifting of 50 pounds or more throughout the shift.
Work while wearing respirators and extensive PPE for the duration of the shift.
Work in hot, cold, dusty, noisy, and industrial environments.
Ability to climb stairs and work at heights.
Team Expectations
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, lean manufacturing environment where all team members are expected to actively contribute to improving production output, efficiency, and safety.
Demonstrates initiative, problem‑solving skills, and a willingness to influence positive outcomes by supporting team goals, standard work, and continuous improvement efforts.
Takes ownership of work, operates independently when required, and contributes meaningfully as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 6 months experience in a physically demanding production or industrial role.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and schedule changes on short notice.
Ability to follow written and verbal operating and safety procedures.
Basic math and computer skills.
Must submit to pre‑employment screening, including employment history verification, background check, physical and urine drug screening.
Must be able to read and interpret documents, write routine correspondence, and speak English to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Strong attendance, reliability, and safety focus.
Preferred/Highly Relevant Experience
Experience in industrial cleaning, environmental services, chemical or refinery operations, wastewater treatment, sanitation, or other heavy industrial labor environments.
