2nd shift – E shift: Sunday–Wednesday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Pay
Hourly: $22.00 + $1.00 per shift differential ($23.00)

Job Purpose
The Quality Control Associate performs QC functions, checks pallets for construction integrity, identifies mis‑picks and misplaced cases, and works with Inventory Control Clerks to correct errors and rebuild pallets.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Review individual orders to determine correct quantities, packing, and general accuracy; complete required QC sampling and load audit forms.
Consult supervisors about problems identified in the QC process, including quality issues not meeting standards and potential safety issues.
Coach selectors on job quality and efficiency.
Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
Maintain good attendance.
Maintain safe work practices.
Safeguard confidential company information.
Investigate customer complaints with supervisors.
Perform driver check‑in duties by reviewing customer invoices for accuracy.
Evaluate product returns and determine if product is acceptable to take back.
Additional Responsibilities
Involved in training Inventory Control Clerks.
Process damaged material, ensure returned goods are properly inventoried, and monitor suspense inventory.
Help maintain proper procedures and bring incorrect practices to leadership.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Ensure compliance with inventory processes, procedures, and contractual obligations.
Physical count of articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
Utilize computer terminals to account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum of one year’s experience in a QC role and/or product knowledge.
Experience using WMS software, a plus (Synapse preferred).
PC literate with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Database.
Education And/Or Experience Required
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and write e‑mail.
Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
Forklift certification a plus.
Language Skills Sets
Effective communication: read, write, speak, and understand English.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; determine root cause and corrective action.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite for writing e‑mails and creating reports.
Physical Demands
Occasionally lift or move up to 55 lb.
Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Activate phone systems with keyboards and buttons.
Articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
Work in an indoor/office environment, sit or perform repetitive hand motion.
Talk, hear, stand, and walk frequently.
Work more than continuous 8 hours when required.
Maintain work accuracy and concentration under stress.
Read and discern visual images on media with 20/20 corrected vision.
Speak and communicate clearly over the telephone.
Be in sound physical health as determined by a licensed physician, with no evidence of controlled substances.
Work Environment
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles; noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
