Full‑time Driver – CDL or Chauffeur Licensed at Doug Ashy Building Materials
Delivery of building materials to job sites, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and documentation. Safely operate the truck and maintain records per DOT regulations while following all safety protocols.
What You’ll Do
Deliver building materials to jobsites and unload them safely and accurately.
Pull, load, and secure materials on the truck before hitting the road.
Make pickups as needed, including credits from jobsites — restock materials properly.
Complete all delivery paperwork to keep jobs running on time and organized.
Maintain driver logs and delivery records per DOT regulations.
Keep your truck in top shape — report any maintenance issues right away.
Assist yard personnel and customers as needed.
Communicate with the dispatcher about deliveries, delays, or issues on the road.
Other duties as assigned by the manager to support the success of the team and business.
Requirements
Must hold a valid CDL (Class A/B) or Chauffeur’s license, depending on truck type. Class A license preferred.
Millwork knowledge preferred.
Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
1–3 years of truck driving experience required.
Experience in the building materials industry is a plus but not required.
Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen, DOT physical, and physical evaluation.
Ability to operate a forklift and assist with loading/unloading materials.
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and handle other hands‑on tasks.
Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather.
Must follow safety protocols and wear all required PPE.
Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team player mindset.
Dependable and on time daily.
Available to work every other Saturday (half‑day) or as needed.
