Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) Operator

Job Summary
The Pre-Shipping Inspection (PSI) Operator is the key execution position in the quality inspection link, primarily responsible for the production process of photovoltaic modules and standardized inspection of the finished product to ensure that the product meets quality requirements. The role requires familiarity with the photovoltaic module production process, inspection standards, and skillful operation of equipment to maintain a high pass rate while promoting factory quality objectives.

Responsibilities

Standardized Inspection Operation
Assist the supervision of photovoltaic module inspection tasks, including appearance inspection, electrical performance testing, and safety performance inspection, according to enterprise quality standards and customer requirements.

Device Operation & Maintenance
Operate EL detector, IV curve tester, insulation voltage tester and other equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test data.

Regularly check, clean and calibrate equipment, and cooperate with technical personnel to complete equipment maintenance.

Disposal of Non-conforming Products
Replace and rework components deemed unqualified by supervision and hand over reworked products to production packaging for finishing.

Data Recording & Feedback
Organize and output daily inspection batch test data (IV data, EL data, double-sided rate data) on time.

Sort out replacement details of unqualified components, summarize and analyze unqualified proportion details of inspected goods, and provide feedback to PQC for tracking and improvement.

Main Task – Daily Inspection
Appearance Inspection: Assist the supervisor in inspection process of product turnover handling and size measurement work.

Electrical Performance Test: Operate the IV tester to retest component power, voltage, current, and other parameters.

Double-sided Rate Test: Operate the IV tester to complete back-side tests required by the order.

EL Test: Operate the EL detector to retest components.

Safety Test: Perform insulation resistance test, withstand voltage test and other basic safety projects according to customer requirements.

Equipment & Area Management
Spot check equipment before daily tests (commissioning machines, calibrating IV testers, etc.).

Maintain inspection area 5S (tidy, rectify, sweep, clean, quality) to ensure a clean and orderly environment.

Exception Response & Capability Improvement
Report unresolved problems to supervisor and learn solutions.

Assist new staff training, transferring inspection experience and operation skills.

Qualifications

Understand basic structure and common defect types of photovoltaic modules.

Proficient in operating EL/IV testers, scanning gun and other tools; received equipment operation training.

Basic data recording and analysis skills (e.g., Excel or MES).

Meticulous, patient, responsive, and responsible.
