
Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
Perform and document routine preventative maintenance on production equipment according to the maintenance schedule
Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on plumbing and electrical fixtures or equipment
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, equipment, circuits, and components
Perform inspections and test electrical systems and components
Coordinate machine repair and service with equipment manufacturers
Operate forklifts, scissors lift, and all other necessary equipment required to perform a variety of maintenance tasks
Responsible for general maintenance of three buildings, machinery, and grounds work
Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance
Maintenance and repair may include: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, furniture, kitchen equipment, and major machinery
Maintain warehouse safety by correcting hazards and utilizing PPE and Lockout Tagout procedures
Operate snow plow and salting vehicles and keeping walkways clear and free of ice and snow
Maintain cleanliness of facilities including, but not limited to shop organization, floor cleaning, and painting
Assist in continuous building and manufacturing improvement projects throughout the facilities
Requirements:
Technical Certification or 3+ years of equivalent experience
Electrical and Plumbing maintenance experience, preferred
Carpentry skills, a plus
Computer skills, a plus
Ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift
Mechanically inclined with experience using basic hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and engineering drawings
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
Must be able to apply common sense reasoning to carry out instructions
Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass license check by insurer
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
Must possess a strong attention to detail
Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, and bending
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25lbs. and occasionally up to 50lbs.
Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus
