Pay Range
$65,800.00-$90,500.00 Annual. This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based on relevant experience, skills and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
Position Overview
The purpose of the Maintenance Scheduler's role is to minimize total maintenance costs by maximizing maintenance workforce efficiency and productivity through detailed planning and scheduling of work orders. The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of manpower, parts, material and equipment access. This position maintains liaison activities between Production and Maintenance Departments.
Your Day‑to‑Day
Develop and maintain a backlog of ready work orders for maintenance department employees
Interview work requesters, develop scope of work and inspect job location to determine job requirements
Design and implement small projects including coordinating workforce and part requirements
Arrange for special tools and equipment needed to complete jobs
Coordinate with Plant Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, Project Engineers and Process Engineers on impacted systems and the need to produce engineering documents
Open work orders and update all applicable information (equipment numbers, maintenance classification, budget item, shut‑down requirements, etc.)
Place required purchase requisitions for labor and materials and follow up on material orders and scheduling of deliveries
Develop total job cost estimates
Maintain liaison with field supervision and other management regarding work execution, necessity of altering schedules and manpower status
Conduct and lead planning and scheduling meetings to determine work order priorities and communicate work order status, track and record maintenance conformance to schedule
Issue purchase orders and maintain inventory accuracy
Coordinate modifications of existing equipment and obtain engineering documentation to perform maintenance on impacted systems
Develop scope of work, cost estimates and job requirements of work requesters
Open work orders in CMMS and MP2 and update information such as equipment numbers, maintenance classification, budget item or shutdown PM
Place purchase requisitions for labor/materials and follow up on orders and delivery scheduling
Improve work order planning and scheduling process by reviewing maintenance metrics
Coordinate timely and safe completion of maintenance work orders performed by contractors
Responsible for Maintenance PM shutdowns and equipment requiring maintenance
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
What You Bring To The Team
High School or Technical School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of technical/mechanical and electrical work experience
Ability to utilize and understand maintenance software systems
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps and rotating equipment
Strong organizational skills coupled with leadership and interpersonal skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Basic understanding of electrical equipment and electronics and a solid understanding of the interface between electrical and mechanical equipment
Ability to understand ISO requirements, inspections and audits
Strong time and project management skills
Solid organizational skills
Must have 24/7 availability to respond to emergency situations outside of normal schedule
Minimal travel required (0–10 days per year)
Primary work environment is typical of an office setting; when in the manufacturing facility, may be exposed to environmental conditions such as cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/fumes and extensive walking or climbing
