Basic Purpose
Develop, maintain, and service travel agency business relationships within the retail sales channel for an assigned territory to achieve established sales goals. Participate in the growth of travel agency revenues by implementing local marketing and promotional programs, conducting ongoing travel advisor trainings, and pursuing new opportunities for new‑to‑brand agencies. Work closely with leadership to improve agency production and serve as the company’s brand ambassador when required.
Position Responsibilities
Maximize revenue and occupancy production in the designated accounts within the territory.
Source new revenue opportunities within assigned accounts, including groups, FIT, and New‑to‑Brand sales, to meet sales goals.
Retain and manage relationships with each travel agency, developing personalized approaches to maximize their profits.
Assist with the development and implementation of an annual territory sales plan to ensure goal achievement.
Review sales plan, accounts, promotional efforts, and ROI quarterly with VP, Retail Sales, and adjust the plan accordingly.
Create and execute promotional programs; provide materials for agency partners.
Own the account relationship by facilitating growth and resolving challenges.
Complete weekly sales activity reports in Salesforce, providing competitive insights to management.
Conduct seminars, familiarization cruises, cruise events, trade and consumer shows, as needed.
Stay current on corporate information, policies, procedures, sales and marketing programs.
Perform other job‑related functions as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant background and sales experience.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the travel industry.
Knowledge & Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote).
Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM; familiarity with e‑commerce channels.
Working knowledge of Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebEx, or related virtual platforms.
Strong product knowledge, service understanding, and solid problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Creative brand building and relationship development in assigned territories.
Adaptability to a rapidly changing sales environment and shifting priorities.
Planning skills for territory sales strategies.
Team collaboration and independent time‑management skills.
Customer‑centric approach to fostering and maintaining business relationships.
Ability to travel 25% of the time, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and bend/lift up to 30 lbs. for marketing collateral transport.
