What You Will Do
Under the direction of the Director of Rehab Services, the Admissions Coordinator manages, plans, and organizes the patient’s admission process for the Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) at Peterson Regional Medical Center (PRMC) within the rules and regulations of CMS and other regulatory and accreditation bodies. The position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining a comprehensive admissions program. The Admissions Coordinator assists the PPS Coordinator with the timely encoding of patient data per Medicare Regulations. The Admissions Coordinator represents PRMC and the ARU in marketing activities to promote hospital programs.
Required Education
RN/PT/OT/ST degree
Preferred Education
BSN
Required Skills
Strong clinical assessment skills. Competent computer skills in clinical documentation systems and MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Excellent interpersonal, time management and communication skills. Flexibility to handle variability in workload and necessity for multi-tasking.
Preferred Skills
Possess a working knowledge of the Inpatient Rehab Facilities’ CS Rules and Regulations.
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification
Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist, BLS
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification
Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN)
Required Experience
At lease one year clinical experience.
Preferred Experience
Experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility
