Human Resources Coordinator – Role Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for administrative functions that support the HR team and maintain HR customer service as a top priority. This role works closely with the HR & Labor Relations Manager and Production Supervisors. It is located in East Alton, IL and will be fully on‑site, with some local travel possible.
Role Salary Range:
$54,000 – $70,000 annually .

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual, including but not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.
Responsibilities
Track and report weekly and monthly data for Union and HR department.
Manage grievance scheduling and disciplinary support.
Support labor relations with all necessary administrative duties.
Track attendance and leaves of absence; coordinate with the Leave Management team.
Lead HRIS administration, maintaining and updating system changes including pay progressions, job bid and shift changes. Maintain employee and training records.
Administer service awards and assist with company events—job fairs, benefits events, retirees, luncheons, etc.
Liaise with Supervisors and Production employees, providing prompt follow‑up to HR related questions and issues.
Assist with interviewing and onboarding of new hires as needed; serve as a backup to the HR Generalist.
Assist with large projects and initiatives (I‑9 audit, compliance training).
Qualifications
Minimum associate degree in business, human resources, or related field, plus three years of related experience.
Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office, HRIS, and time‑keeping systems.
Good Excel skills.
Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and prompt follow‑through.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Possesses high ethical standards; maintains confidentiality.
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
