We are looking for an experienced Mission Computer Subsystem and Hardware Design Engineer. This position will include support for the entire product lifecycle, including requirements analysis, systems design, lab design/specification, integration testing, flight test, technical sub-contractor management, field support and customer interactions. Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications. Tests validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Research specific technology advances potential application to company business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years experience with hardware and LRU development, test, and qualification
knowledge in subsystem design, requirement allocation and technical supplier management
critical analysis and problem solving skills across systems, hardware and software architecture
practical experience with lab equipment for hardware development, troubleshooting and data capture
Preferred Qualification:
Military aircraft program experience
MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429 and Ethernet architecture and knowledge
Experience with agile development methodologies
Strong leadership, team building and mentoring skills
