Benefits & Payroll Specialist

ALIYA Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented Benefits & Payroll Specialist to lead benefits administration across multiple skilled nursing facilities while supporting payroll operations. This role is primarily responsible for managing employee benefits programs, ensuring a smooth and positive employee experience, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will also assist with payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Responsibilities

Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and supplemental plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, enrollments, and coverage issues.
Coordinate new hire benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and open enrollment processes.
Partner with brokers and vendors to resolve benefits-related issues and ensure accurate plan administration.
Maintain benefits records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
Reconcile benefits billing and eligibility reports; identify and resolve discrepancies.
Support employee education and communication around benefits offerings and changes.
Assist with payroll processing for multiple facilities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review and audit timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, and PTO.
Support payroll reporting, deductions, and garnishments.
Partner with HR and leadership to ensure accurate employee data in HRIS/payroll systems.
Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
Support audits and reporting related to benefits and payroll.
Qualifications

3+ years of benefits administration and/or payroll experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments.
Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and regulations (primary focus).
Working knowledge of payroll processes and tax regulations.
Experience with payroll/HRIS systems.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
