Summary
The Operator 1 is responsible for operating various types of manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products in accordance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. Once trained and qualified, the operator may be assigned to different pieces of equipment or workstations based on production needs.

What Success Looks Like
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Necessity for attention to detail.
Operate assigned machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
Perform basic setup, changeovers, and adjustments as needed
Monitor equipment performance and report issues to maintenance or supervision.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area (5S standards)
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Adhere to all safety policies and wear required PPE
Obtain forklift certification
Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.
Ability to identify any issues with the product or process.
Additional tasks as assigned by the Shift Supervisor
Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures
Operating a forklift for various functions.
Your Credentials
One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
High School or GED preferred
Willing to work overtime including weekends as needed
Close visual work required.
Knowledge of general computer skills.
Attention to detail.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to stand, walk, and use upper extremities while occasionally sitting, crouching, and bending.
Ability to climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds and perform necessary job tasks.
Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift premium for 2nd and/or 3rd shift.
Shift Schedule
2nd shift – 2:45 pm to 11:00 pm.
