Work Schedule

Moog Inc. Space and Defense Group offers a culture of trust and a focus on innovation. Our Space & Defense team in Blacksburg is looking for a Slip Ring Design Engineer to help develop high‑reliability slip ring assemblies. The role requires onsite work in Blacksburg, VA.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aeronautical engineering, or related discipline.
Three years of experience in design and analysis of precision rotating electromechanical equipment preferred.
Strong mechanical design, packaging, electrical and analytical skills.
CAD/CAE experience (UG NX desirable).
Understanding of machine/manufacturing capabilities and drafting standards.
Responsibilities
Establish concepts and requirements to support design efforts in mechanical, thermal, and electrical disciplines.
Interpret customer specifications and act as primary interface with suppliers and customers.
Collaborate with designers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, and technical writers.
Lead designs from bid proposal through detailed development, production drawings, documentation, to production build and test support.

Salary
Blacksburg, VA $70,000–$100,000 annually.
