Position Summary
The Youth Ministry Coordinator for Middle School and High School is responsible for developing and organizing programs that engage students in grades 6–12. This role focuses on fostering spiritual growth, building meaningful relationships, and creating a safe environment where students can grow in their faith and character.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and lead youth programs, events, and weekly gatherings
Develop age-appropriate lessons, activities, and discussions that support spiritual growth.
Recruit, train, and support volunteers working with middle school and high school ministries.
Organize retreats, service projects, mission opportunities, and special events.
Collaborate with church leadership, parents, and community partners.
Maintain communication through announcements, emails, social media, and parent updates.
Ensure all programs follow safety policies and procedures for minors.
Attend diocesan meetings as required.
Qualifications
Experience working with middle school and/or high school students in a ministry or similar setting.
Strong communication and relational skills.
Ability to lead groups, organize programs, and manage volunteers.
Skills & Competencies
Leadership and volunteer development.
Event planning and program coordination.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Work Environment
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight events.
Combination of office work and on-site youth activities.
Occasional travel for camps, retreats, and conferences.
Compensation
$18 per hour
15–29.5 hours per week
