Job Location
Vishay Applied Thin Film Products, Fremont, CA.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications.
Test substrates to meet specifications, utilize tools, prepare substrates for dicing, perform calculations for cutting machines, use tweezers and chemicals to remove residue, and prepare circuits for shipping.
Conduct heat/treatment and/or 100% probe, read work orders and assembly drawings to determine heat treat operations, adjust machine controls, examine and test substrates at various stages, detect defects, maintain records of probe results per resistor, and enter production information into the Vantage system.
Dicing: place wax‑mounted substrates onto glass, operate vacuum chucks, cut substrates into circuits per specifications, and record production data in Vantage.
Clean: manually clean circuits after dicing with chemicals or distilled water for specified periods, prepare circuits for packaging, and record data in Vantage.
Via enhancement: manually adjust circuit surface to meet work order specifications and record data in Vantage.
Package circuits: use tweezers to transfer circuits from petri dishes to waffle packs, perform inspections under microscope, and record accurate production information in Vantage software.
Perform data entry into manufacturing software.
Comply with safety regulations.
Participate in team problem‑solving.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in English; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and follow printed procedures and written instructions.
Good manual dexterity and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices is desired.
Ability to participate in team problem‑solving activities.
Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
Prior experience working for an ISO 9000 certified company.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office/lab environment with required safety and dress standards. The role requires frequent communication, talking, and listening. Employees may sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive fine grasping motions. Small hand tools and a computer are used extensively. Specific visual requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Physical strength, stamina, and exposure to chemicals (e.g., alcohol, acetone, acids, solvents, photoresist) and particulate matter are possible. No travel is required. Overtime and weekend work may be needed to meet operational demands.
