
Compensation Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compensation Analyst for a temporary, fully onsite assignment in Tampa, FL. In this role, you will support compensation programs, market analysis, and pay practices to ensure competitive and compliant compensation strategies. You’ll work closely with HR, finance, and business leaders to provide data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze internal and external compensation data to support pay decisions and market competitiveness
Conduct salary benchmarking using industry surveys and compensation tools
Support compensation planning activities, including merit increases, bonuses, and promotions
Maintain job descriptions, salary ranges, and pay structures
Partner with HR and hiring managers to develop competitive offer recommendations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation regulations
Prepare reports and insights for leadership on compensation trends
Assist with audits and maintain data integrity within HRIS systems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field
2–5 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related role
Strong analytical and Excel skills
Experience with compensation surveys (e.g., Mercer, Radford, Willis Towers Watson)
Knowledge of FLSA and general compensation regulations
Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, or similar)
High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification or progress toward certification
Experience in a mid- to large-size organization
Familiarity with job architecture and pay equity analysis
Compensation
Hourly rate of
$25–$39/hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
